Interested first-year students are matched with a mentor from the School of Law faculty or staff. Mentors help first-year law students understand the processes and demands of law school, make informed academic choices, and work through professional questions. Mentors can be valuable resources for first-year law students regarding the opportunities a legal education can provide.

The Wellness Center offers professional counselors who are available to assist students to engage in and promote a healthy way of living. The Center assists students in making healthy lifestyle choices through confidential consultation, skill building in sexuality education, stress management, nutrition, and alcohol and other drug education. Counseling services provide the most current, evidence-based psychotherapy including cognitive-behavioral therapy and biofeedback. Counselors hold the content of each session in the strictest confidence. The Wellness Center also offers health education presentations to classrooms, residence halls and campus organizations.
