James Hopkins has been a member of the law firm of Machicao & Associates in Marion, Illinois, since 1993. He also served as city attorney for Creal Springs, Illinois, from 1994 to 1999. He holds a B.A. degree from Fort Hays State University in Kansas and a J.D. degree from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas.
