Heidi E. Ramos Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor

Heidi E. Ramos got both her undergraduate and graduate degree from Southern Illinois University. She received her B.A. in Political Science in 1985 and her J.D. in 1988. Heidi comes to the Law School with an extensive trial history. She worked for almost 16 years as an assistant public defender in Jackson County handling misdemeanor, felony, and juvenile cases. Recently, Heidi worked as an Assistant State's Attorney for both Jackson and Union County, Illinois. As Assistant State's Attorney, Heidi prosecuted methamphetamine cases. Heidi previously worked at the Southern Illinois University School of Law from January 2005 until December 2008. During this time she worked as a staff attorney with the Civil Practice Clinic, a project coordinator for the Self-Help Legal Center, and as assistant to the Public Externship Clinic. She returns now to co-teach the Civil Practice Clinic as a Visiting Clinical Professor. |
