Pro Bono Week

In 2015, the School of Law held its first Pro Bono Week; a week dedicated to educate, encourage and promote the good that pro bono work can bring to lawyers, law students, clients, and the legal profession. The Southern Illinois University School of Law is the first law school to require its law students to complete at least 35 hours of pro bono work by graduation.

Pro Bono Week involves a mix of speakers, events, movies, fundraisers, and workshops selected, coordinated, and/or sponsored by the American Bar Association and Equal Justice Works student organizations of the School of Law.
