George Crouch (’93), is named Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Newark Field office

Director Christopher Wray has named George M. Crouch, Jr. as the special agent in charge of the Newark Field Office. Mr. Crouch most recently served as the deputy assistant director in the Human Resources Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Crouch began his career as an FBI special agent in 1998 and was assigned to cover counterterrorism investigations in the New York Field Office. In 2002, he transferred to the Counterterrorism Division at FBI Headquarters, where he was one of the first members of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Fly Squad. He was promoted to a supervisory special agent in the Counterterrorism Division in 2003.

In 2006, he was promoted to serve as the supervisory senior resident agent of the Allentown Resident Agency of the Philadelphia Field Office, overseeing all FBI investigative activity in the Allentown area. In 2010, he was promoted to assistant special agent in charge of the Cleveland Field Office. At different times, he led the counterterrorism, counterintelligence, human intelligence, technical, surveillance, intelligence, and administrative programs, and oversaw all matters in multiple resident agencies.
