Professor Behan teaches trial advocacy skills to Ugandan public service attorneys in an online course organized by Justice Advocacy Uganda in Kampala, Uganda. Behan was originally scheduled to teach the course live in Uganda, but because of COVID-19, the organizers shifted to an online format. Behan has taught similar courses live in Botswana, Kenya, and Tanzania.

Founded in 1973, the SIU School of Law’s trademark for experiential opportunities continues and its mission has expanded beyond the Southern Illinois region.
