GETTING TO THE SIU SCHOOL OF LAW

The SIU School of Law is located in Carbondale, Illinois. The closest major airport is Lambert International in St. Louis, Missouri, which is approximately two hours northwest of Carbondale. The closest regional airports are the Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois (MWA), which is approximately 20 minutes east of Carbondale, or the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport (CGI) and the Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah, Kentucky, both of which are approximately one hour southeast/southwest of Carbondale.  All three have direct service with Contour Airlines from different locations.  There is a new Contour jet service between MWA and O’Hare Airport that may be the fastest option, but book early because the flights sell out.

No matter how you arrive, you should plan to rent a car at one of these three airports, rather than relying on public transportation in the Carbondale area.
